HOOT! Pickup Band For Unattached (And Attached) Musicians 
With The Junkadelic Brass Band

HOOT Band is open to the public and completely FREE. We welcome musicians attending HONK! Oz without a band. Come and learn a few tunes and play along with The Junkadelic Brass band at HONK! Oz. HOOT! Is For Intermediate Level Players And Up. Any Instrument Is Acceptable - Particularly If You Don't Need To Plug It In.

​Open To The Public And Completely FREE!!  Local And Visiting Musicians Attending HONK! Oz Are Invited To Participate In This Band. Members Of The HONK! Oz 2022 Bands Are Encouraged To Join In.

The Repertoire This Year Is Selected And Arranged And Workshops/Performances Facilitated By The Amazing Junkadelic Brass Band From Western Australia.

The Junkadelic Brass Band Is A Band Like No Other. Hailing From Perth, Western Australia, Junkadelic Combines A Smoking Hot 6-Piece Brass Section With Hard-Hitting Recycled Percussion To Bring You A Face-Melting Blend Of Street Rhythms. Taking Inspiration From Traditional New Orleans Street Music, Junkadelic Combines Tasty Funk Grooves With Latin And Hip-Hop Flavours To Get You Down On The D-Floor. Rowdy Vocals Round Out The Band's Explosive Original Compositions To Create Brass Band Music With A Bend In It. ​

Kids HONK! With Wollcon Staff

Run by Wollongong Conservatorium of Music staff. The Kids HONK! Band is an important feature of HONK! Oz Street Music Festival. Students will learn four tunes, across two workshops and perform as part of the HONK! oz Street Music Festival. 

Bridge to Femme fatales with Mel Wishart & Femme Fatales

​The Bridge to Femme Fatales workshop is an immersive performance/participation experience that enables participants to perform with The Femme Fatales at Honk! Oz. Music ,Dance, Fashion and a creative spirit all come together to transform yourself into a Femme Fatale for the day.
