Linsey Pollak is attending Honk! Oz as part of a community engagement grant funded by the University of Wollongong in collaboration with The Wollongong Conservatorium of Music and The Illawarra Folk Club.

Linsey is well known all around Australia as a musician, instrument maker, composer, musical director and community music facilitator. He has toured his solo shows extensively in Europe, Nth America and Asia since 1996. Linsey’s current  projects include his new solo show “Live & Loopy”, World music duo “Dva” with Tunji Beier, and the Community Balkan Gypsy style street band "The Unusual Suspects".  [more . . . ]

Ken Field and Joe Correia are attending Honk! Oz in Australia with the support of a US Embassy Grant under the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act.

Ken is a composer, saxophonist, flautist, and percussionist. Ken is on the organizing committee for the original  "HONK! Festival of activist street bands",  in Somerville, MA, USA.  His band, Revolutionary Snake Ensemble has received international public and critical acclaim.   He is also a member of the 25 piece community based New Orleans style Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band .  [more . . ]

Joe Correia is a Sousaphone/Tuba player form Somerville Boston, now relocated to Seattle.  He works as a freelance musicians and  has performed at numerous Honk festivals. He performs regularly with a number of bands including: Environmental Encroachment , Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band , Harmoos and Hungry March Band
The HONK! Oz Street Music Festival acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to Elders both past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which our festival takes place, the Dharawal peoples, their Elders past, present and emerging and their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of our region
