MAKE MUSIC WOLLONGONG : HONK! Oz Saturday 21st January, 2017

Calling all wind, brass, percussion and band musicians! 

On the final day of HONK! Oz, Wollongong will premiere “HONKSKI ORO” a large scale composition commissioned by WOLLONGONG CITY COUNCIL as part of their Large Cultural Grants program, and created for the occasion by DVA (Linsey Pollack / Tunji Beier). 

Street bands will converge on the Wollongong Arts Precinct at 11:30am, Saturday January 21st, where they will join other professional, amateur and student musicians from around the region.

All wind, brass players and percussionists —individuals and ensembles, amateur, student or professional — are invited to join! (other instruments such as violins are also welcome but it is primarily conceived as a street band composition) REGISTER NOW and add yourself or your ensemble to the list!!!!

Details for musicians : on Saturday, 21st January, 2017 musicians should arrive at The Wollongong Arts Precinct (10 Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, N.Y.) familiar with the piece, warmed up and ready to play by 11.30am. Music can be downloaded here
