'Expressions of Interest' for BANDS & ARTISTS to be part of the official HONK! Oz 2024 lineup
- HONK! Oz is a wind, brass, percussion kind of thing (eg. Samba, New Orleans, Balkan Brass, trad jazz etc).
- The Festival is 100% volunteer run. Everything is free - there is no income from ticket sales.
- HONK! is a festival for community musicians. There are no performance fees. We don't pay bands!
- Officially invited visiting bands need to find own accommodation but may be offered some financial support for travel/accommodation
- There are no fancy stages or PA systems. We use the existing infrastructure of the city. Ideally bands should play on a street corner without relying on a PA system. (Power is available at most of the performance spaces)
- Bonus if Bands can be mobile and play on the move in a parade - this is optional though.

- Friday January 12th (Pre-Festival: Kids HONK! / HOOT! & other workshops / Band Performances Evening)
- SATURDAY January 13th (Main Festival 11am to Midnight. Parades, workshops, performances)
