HONK! Oz supports the Public health initiatives to protect the community from Covid19, including the Vaccine program. Depending on the Public Health Order and guidelines at the time of the festival, mandatory vaccination may be required - we ask that everyone be prepared for this.

Tech

HONK! Oz is a low tech environment. Ideally bring all the equipment you need to perform. We will aim to have access to power available at all the main performance spaces (and potentially a mobile PA for vocals if needed).

Availability

Visiting bands are encouraged to stay for the duration, mingle with other musicians and participate in the pickup band and other events. We understand this is not always possible due to work commitments etc. We need to know which of the officially scheduled performance sessions you can attend so we can construct the performance program. Friday and Saturday performances are located in and around Wollongong CBD. Sunday is at Wollongong Botanic Garden

Accommodation

Due to Covid issues, we unable to directly manage accommodation for visiting bands at HONK! Oz 2022. Please get in touch (info@honkfest.org.au) if you need help/advice/support regarding accommodation.

Vaccination Status

​HONK! Oz follows the  NSW Health and Federal COVID directives and guidelines alongside recommended best practice for the safety of all participants. Depending on the Public Health Order and guidelines at the time of the festival, this may include mandatory vaccination for participants of the festival, and we ask that people should be prepared for this.

Insurance

All performers and bands performing at Honk! Oz Festival of Street Music should have their own  insurance, including public liability Insurance. If you don't have cover, we suggest investigating insurance options with Folk Alliance Australia (www.folkalliance.org.au), Duck for Cover (www.duckforcover.com.au) or other insurance provider
