HONK! Oz is a low tech environment. Ideally bring all the equipment you need to perform. We will aim to have access to power available at all the main performance spaces (and potentially a mobile PA for vocals if needed).  

​We do not supply a drum kit or backline!! (but we will try to be helpful)

Availability

Visiting bands are encouraged to stay for the duration, mingle with other musicians and participate in the pickup band and other events. We understand this is not always possible due to work commitments etc. However, we do need to know which of the officially scheduled performance sessions you can attend so we can construct the program.

Accommodation

Visiting bands can often find accommodation through their own networks - this is incredibly helpful!!

​Through the fund raising efforts of the local music community, HONK! Oz is able to offer visiting musicians accommodation for THURSDAY night and FRIDAY nights - if needed. If you arriving earlier and/or staying later  - please include details in the box below. It may end up being easier to book into wslr.com.au yourself and have us reimburse you for the musician beds on Thurs/Fri (restrictions apply).

Insurance

All performers and bands performing at Honk! Oz Festival of Street Music must accept responsibility for their own  insurance, including public liability Insurance. If you don't have cover, we suggest investigating insurance options with Folk Alliance Australia (www.folkalliance.org.au), Duck for Cover (www.duckforcover.com.au) or other insurance provider
