HONK! Oz 2017 is January 19-21. There will be pre-Honk and post-Honk events around these dates. We hope that all visiting bands be available to play in the three main sessions : Thursday Evening / Friday / Saturday Morning.

Band Description

We will link to your website from the Honk Fest website.

We will provide a link to your Facebook page if you have one and 'like' you . . .

Include anything here that describes your group and may help us with scheduling or other aspects of your performance.

We will make a profile page for each band on the honk website. A brief Bio/description and photo would really help us.

Availability for HONK! Oz 2016
Honk! Oz Festival:  Friday (Jan 8th) afternoon through to Sunday (Jan 10) afternoon
In terms of performance our minimum expectation is that performers/bands will be available throughout the Saturday (Jan 9) of the Festival.

Visiting musicians are welcome to participate in pre-HONK! events if you are arriving in Wollongong early:
  • On Thursday (Jan 7) available bands will be doing Honk Oz preview gigs.  
  • On the Thursday & Friday there will be workshops run by Linsey Pollak and others. 

All musicians will be provided with a catered lunch on Sunday (a 2015 festival highlight!!). 

Accommodation
It helps the organising committee enormously if you can find your own accommodation for the festival weekend. However, we are committed to providing musicians with accommodation on the Friday and Saturday nights if needed.  This will be a mix of billeting, camping, dorm accommodation.

It may be difficult for some groups to give a definitive answer at this stage. Just give us your best guess to get things going. Our accommodation coordinator will be in touch for more detail.
Does your group require accommodation?

We are keen to help accommodate Musicians on the Friday and Saturday nights of the Festival. Dorm style accommodation is available for non-musicians (eg. family of musicians) at a reasonable cost. It would help us to know how many in your party and different possible groupings. e.g. 2 x couples 1 x family of 4 1 x single male

Your valid PLI certificate or other info can be emailed directly to the Honk! Oz committee prior to the festival.
